Are You Designing Your Master Bathroom In An Elegant Theme?

by Sonia Castro

If you are in the process of designing your master bathroom, have you decided that you want it to be an elegant room? If you are looking for ideas, you've come to the right place.

Choose A Frameless Shower Door

Frameless shower doors are not just attractive; they are practical, too. Even if you might spend more money, think of selecting a state-of-the-art design that will slide effortlessly.

No matter the size of your shower, you can custom-order a frameless glass door to fit it. Choose one that will complement the hardware you have selected for your sinks. For instance, if you went with brass for the faucets, choose brass for the hardware on the shower door. Include a towel rod as part of the design on the shower door.

If your bathtub and shower are together, think of installing a glass door instead of a waterproof curtain. While a quality glass door might cost more, it will probably outlast waterproof curtains.

Select A Glass Door For The Toilet Area

Installing a glass door to add privacy in the toilet area is another good idea.

It might seem that a glass door won't give you privacy, but that's not necessarily true. Choose a glass door with a finish that will let in light, but that still gives you the privacy you want. For example, for something truly elegant and beautiful, go with a colorful stained glass door.

A patterned glass door for the toilet is another good idea. For instance, choose a door that has flowers and trees placed in strategic places. Or, select a glass door with patterned glass that provides both light and privacy.

As you select the other decor for your elegant master bathroom, think of buying beautifully framed mirrors to go over each vanity area. Don't forget to include a full-length mirror. It could be one that goes on the bathroom door, or you could choose a wooden antique standing mirror that tilts.

As you select things like the countertops and the cabinetry for your master bathroom, decide on the type of elegance you want. For instance, if you want a dramatic look, go with something like a turquoise watercolor design for the countertops. For a serene look, go with off-white or light-gray Italian marble. Choose cabinetry that will complement the countertops and the shower door. For instance, if you went with brass for the hardware on the shower door, choose brass knobs for the bathroom cabinets.

The Importance of The Right Door

When you really think about it, your front door is the first thing a person comes across when they come over to your house. It might seem silly, but that front door says a lot about you, including your personal style. While the right door will make your home feel like an upscale estate, the wrong one could make your place seem bland and boring. I have been installing doors for a long time, and you wouldn't believe how much of a difference a simply entryway upgrade can make. If you want to learn more about front doors, research my website.
